I call it art
They call it criminal
I call it heart
Paintings on the side
Of a road to anywhere
Sometimes I wonder
If I will ever get there
Maybe it's vulgar
Or simply profanity
But whoever said

Make it strong
Make it real
If it's honest
Then the wounds will heal
Messages that show
Promise and hope,
You aren't alone,
The world will help you cope

Love this style. It's similar to your "Your Smile" poem, another one that I really enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteAnd good message. I agree that graffiti has its place. Not sure where that place is, but somewhere out there is a good place :)
Thank you! Somewhere... over the rainbow, I'm sure :)
DeleteLove this poem! I always thought it's so sad...because those people who paint graffiti all over really have incredible talent. Their art is so cool. It's a pity when they use their talent to destroy other people's property. Imagine if they were able to use it in a productive way? They could really beautify this world...
