What a way to start a morningJust as I am getting out of bed
To hear some awful news
Come striking at my head
Not everyday can be like one in Wonderland
Where everything is safe and sound
And there isn't any sadness
In the air, none to be found
Real life comes hitting heavy
Not leaving a second to inhale
You don't get a chance to breathe
Or risk stopping and falling to fail
So I woke up this morning
Ready to start my day on the right side
And now I would like nothing more
Than to go back to sleep and hide...
Hashem, You run this world with such precision it's impossible to see the wonders of what You do... but some small understanding of why these things happen would be appreciated. I don't question You. You know everything that I don't... I just want to know why..
Unfortunately, we don't get to know why things happen in this world. It's part and parcel of being alive. Sometimes, we are blessed with a glimpse into the Master Plan but always, we need to trust that if it happened, it is for the best.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had such a difficult wake-up call. If it's something that can still have a positive outcome, I hope that happens, and if it cannot, I hope you have the strength to accept it and keep on moving...
I understand that... It's just difficult-- and yes, it's life-- to have these things happen and not know why or what my part or lack of participation in the event caused it to happen...
ReplyDeleteThere's a famous story about someone who lived a long life and when asked how he was able to live so long he said he never questioned Hashem. For if he would have asked, Hashem would have to take him "up there" to give him the answers.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard living without answers. Why is probably the most Frequenly Asked Question in this world! Knowing that there are answers should help more.
It sounds like you are putting some blame on yourself when you say what my part or lack of participation in the event caused it to happen - you have to keep in mind that Hashem runs the world and whatever you did or didn't do did not have any affect on what happened. Remember that!!
